I have read the Top Issues and Most Viewed Solutions and have reinstalled drivers multiple times, but I cannot get Windows 8.1 (64-bit) or Windows Fax & Scan to recognize the scanner part of my HP LaserJet 3055 printer.
1. My 3055 is directly connected to my PC via a USB cable (printer is NOT set up as a "network" printer but I do need to share this printer.
2. I uninstalled the 3055 drivers and let Windows 8.1 (64-bit) recognize and install it automatically as directed in your advisories.
3. I later tried installing using the "Add Printer" utility in "Devices and Printers"
4. The installed printer driver is currently the HP LaserJet 3055 PCL6 Class Driver, although I tried a few others in Windows Update. (I understand the scanner won't work with the UPD driver).
5. The printer driver is installed on a DOT4_001 port. I also tried it as a USB001 port. Both worked as a printer driver, but neither supported the scanner.
6. The "right-click" menu on the printer in Devices and Printers shows no entries for the scanner.
7. Under Control Panel -> Device Manager there is also no entry for an HP scanner under "Imaging Devices". I later installed an Epson printer with scanner and that shows up as an Imaging Device, but this was out of the picture during all my attempts to install the LaserJet 3055 to see its scanner.
Do you have any suggestions? This driving me crazy. I WILL PROBABLY REVERT BACK TO WINDOWS 7 BECAUSE I MUST HAVE AN OPERATIONAL SCANNER.

Newly installed printer drops the network and must be restarted. Anybody know of the fix? On Windows 7.

Thanks for reply.
Dlink model is DSL -2750B.
The Printer's mac addres as typed manually and also I get the MAC from the list of devices connected to Dlink (when filter as disabled) and in both cases the problem persists.
Other devices like laptops and smartphones connect normally to WIFI with filter enabled.
My printer will only print one item which it does satisfactorily and then a message appears "41.3 unexpected size in tray 2". I am using standard A4 paper but need to know how to get the printer to recognise this and resume proper print runs.

I have tried every setting I can find to rotate my plot from portrait to landscape with no good results. When I set plotter to landscape it plots out half the drawing in portrait style.
Designjet 4000
Designjet 4000 It seems as though it is locked on the portrait print area because the drawing will rotate but only 3/4 of it plots
I have a 4345 printer, obviously, that will not eject legal size paper or print duplex. All other functions appear to work perfectly.
The paper stops in the top cover area of the feed system, between the reversing separation-guide assembly and Reversing assembly.
I have swapped the following assemblies with a fully functional mfp:
reversing separation-guide assembly
Reversing assembly
Power-factor-correction (PFC) power supply
Engine power supply
and finally the DC controller
The error is consistent: "13.33.00"
When performing a maual sensor test, PS109 responds the same on both the functioning and non-functioning MFPs.
I just don't know what else to do.
