Possibly, but I doubt the USB on both printers are bad. The printer prints the config page with no issues.

Missed the other cp4525. I would think it has to be the operating system and the drivers as the issue. Try the ethernet route just to see if loading as tcp/ip local makes the printer work. If not, then the issue has to be with the hp software and windows 8.1 which I think we would have had others asking. Possibly your hardware with this printer has an issue and in that case ASUS will need to be contacted. Also did you use the hp scrubber utility to remove all traces of the old driver.

Reset will not help. This is usually a case of the formatter or what is called the interconnect pca having issues. With the power off remove the formatter and then reinsert to see if that helps. If not connect the unit with a usb cable to a pc just to see if the computer shows new hardware found. If it does, then the interconnect pca is defective and needs to be replaced. If new hardware not found, then it could still be the interconnect or the formatter. If new hardware is found and the drivers load and it prints that would mean the display has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Very rare for the display to go bad.

A lot of times I have seen this issued resolved by using the ip address of the machine that hosts the folder instead of the computer name. In other works instead of \\Networkdc\Scanned Documents I would use the syntax \\192.168.1.100\Scanned Documents. You also may want to change the folder name to one without spaces such as \\192.168.1.100\Scanneddocuments You just substitute the ip address of your computer.

I appreciate your thoughts. I did try the UNC \\192.168.1.1\Test with the same results a few days ago. What baffels me is that this was setup and working for a few weeks before it stopped working a week ago.

I understand that you are experiencing faded images in all 4 colours.
This could be sometimes caused due to defective toner cartrdiges (hope that all 4 toner cartridges used as HP genuine). Other general reason is contamination of laser/scanner unit, which might need to be serviced/replaced by HP tech.

Generally the application/software settings (document properties) will override the printer driver or printer hardware settings. It is important to know the paper size set in the document properties and printer driver.
If you do not wish to use Tray 1 for any other media other than Envelope # 10, then you may also set the size and type in the printer configuration (Tray 1 size and type).

Part used labels sheets
Hi
I'm trying to print a label sheet which has some labels missing (previously printed).
The Laserjet 3600 just rejects the part used sheet (from the manual tray) and doesn't print anything.
Is there a way to use up part used label sheets?

What happens if you open the printers trays and place a sheet of plain paper on the manual tray and try to print a config page from the information menu? Does the printer take the paper from tray 1. If not do you get the same message? With the printer in the ready mode if you load a sheet on the manual tray do you get a screen asking to confirm the size of the media in tray 1. If you do not, make sure tray 1 is not set to cassette.

HP 4000 Printer
We moved an HP 4000 printer into another office and hooked it back up with the PC. It will print test pages, but will not receive print commands from the PC.
Can anyone help us with this ?

Certificate error in IE9 Win7
When connecting to a HP laserjet 600 M601 through IE9 on Windows 7, I receive an certificate error. I have added this to my trusted sites and turned off warnings in the advanced settings through internet options. Thoughts any one?

To add on and to verify that the product is functioning, Use a small pointed object to depress the test-page switch located on the rear of the product.The test page should have a series ofhorizontal lines. The test page can use only Tray 2 as the paper source, so make sure that paper is loaded in Tray 2.
With this result plz do contact HP tech support and a service will be initiated.

Issue could be with Drum as well.
if replacing Drum does not resolve the issue, the printer needs the Carousel assemby to be aligned.
