hi everyone,
i'm helping a friend out. She has a new Windows 7 computer that she's trying to use with an old HP Laserjet 8000N. She used to have it set up using her home network when it was wired, but she now has a wireless network. The printer has 2 Jetdirect ports (one has serial + cat 5 and the other is only a cat 5 port).
Any ideas how to get the printer to print? Any way to connect a Cat 5 cable from the computer directly to the printer? Or should I get a USB-to-Serial cable?
