Could you clarify your setup a little better for us?
HP Printers do not have hookups for fiber cables. The only network interfaces you can use are normal Cat5 and WiFi. Beyond that the printer should not care where you get your internet connection from. Just connect your printer up to a router that has internet and you are good to go.
Also, internet is not necessary to use the printer. You can use the printer on a network connection without Fiber without any problems for most normal printing operations. The only time an internet connection is needed is if you are trying to consume an Online Printing service such as ePrint or Google Cloud Print. Those services require tablets and smart phones to send print jobs to an email address which are then formatted and emailed to your printer for physical printing.
