I work for a School district, and we just received new Dell 3010's and we are running 64-bit Win7 Pro. We are using the same model printers as last year, a Laserjet P1505n, Great little workhorse.
My question is, For the first print job of the day, you have to send it. Clear the queue, then send it again and it will print. Or if I want it to print out without clearing the queue, i'll first simply go to the webservice page hosted by the printer and click Apply on the settings (not changing anything) and then print instantly..
There are no real power management settings on the printer, that I've found, and I've tried multiple print processors and things of that sort. But the way its acting it feels like it has to get waken up first then it will print.
They are networked printers, but the old machines in the rooms that were hooked up to them print instantly and perfectly every time. So I'm assuming it is a problem with a Driver or software of Some sort on the new machines.
Any suggestions would be awesome.
thanks
