You all know the issue: You just want to solve a 10.92 error, remove some screws and open the MDA because you didn't really search for some instructions on how to properly solve this error (e.g. the one from the company lbrty). You keep removing screws and there it is, an open MDA in your hands.
There seems to be no instructions on how to reassemble an MDA, so here is mine:
In 1.jpg, you see an overview of the gears. Gears C and E should be easy. Just make sure that they mesh. The white rings below gears E have to be put in a way that they look like the images of the MDA from outside. Gears D should be aligned in a way that they mesh best with gears 1-4. Please note the red circles: The two notches of gears 1 and 2 have to match the holes in the smaller gear in between. The other notch of gear 3 has not to be aligned perfectly (yellow circle, also seen in 3.jpg).
In 2.jpg, you can see how the gears 1-4 are assembled. Start with the lower gear, in our case nr. 3 (there is a "3" written on it). It has to be aligned in a way that the two bigger holes (see 3.jpg) match the holes in the metal. You might want to temporarily fix the gear with two little extra screws from the metal side.
Then proceed to the left (to gears 2 and 1) by aligning the small and the bigger lower gears as shown in 3.jpg (red circles). Take a very close look at gear 2 in 3.jpg: Make sure that the inner "finger" (blue circle) is left.
After having placed all the lower gears 1-4, proceed with parts A and B in 2.jpg. They only fit in one direction. Finally, put the gear with the shaft and spring on top and secure it with one of the smaller gears (not shown; visible form the outside).
Now you should be ready to put the upper part of the MDA on top of that part that I just described. This step is crucial and try to do it with two people. You need to temporarily remove the longer gear of the top part that is supposed to mesh with gear 3. Make sure that all the parts A form 2.jpg are still in place. If not, you can put them down a little with a screwdriver. If they have turned somehow, you have to open the MDA again.
Finally, you remove the fixation screws from gear 1-4. If some of their holes don't perfectly fit the holes in the metal, don't worry. One cog misaligned should be ok. You can check if you did it right when you turn the longer gear meshed with gear 3. First, there should be some click at gear 1, then 2 and then 3.
Before you put the MDA back in the printer, make sure that the holes of the gears 1-4 match the holes in the metal (as shown in several instruction manuals) and that the gears that the MDA fit into are aligned correctly as well.
I hope this helps! Happy reassembling :)
