Depending on your network it is possible that port only sees the old printer and a new printer even with the same ip address will not work as most times the port matches MAC addresses. Best thing to do is go into the network menu and set the method to dhcp or bootp and then restart the printer and wait about 2 minutes and then run a config page to see if it found a new address on its own. If it did that means the printer's network is working ok and you will need your IT personnel to setup the printer if you need to use the same address.
