Not Jammed but yellow light on, green light blinks

I have a Laserjet 1320.  I've nearly stripped this thing to the gears and there is no paper stuck, at least not that I can see without using a screwdriver (HP wouldn't leave out an accessible paper path would they!).


But the yellow light is on at the stacked rollers icon, of course indicating a jam. And the green light just calmly blinks like Chinese Water Torture.  I've turned on and off, I've rebooted the XP machine several times, all to no avail.  And the Printer Control panel shows that a document is waiting to be printed.


The printer and computer are connected and this has been working until recently.


What now?
