First you need to see if you are having a software or hardware issue.  Go to the reports menu of the printer and print the supplies status again.  Look at the magenta color on the page.  Is it a true magenta?  Also print a demo page from the menu of the printer and are the reds red or have the same issue as when you print from paint.  If the reds are red, then the issue is software and perhaps posting to a microsoft forum or the software section of the enterprise forum may get you an answer.  If the magenta is not a true magneta in the test above, then try another magenta toner cartridge and if still no joy then the printer may require service.  Now keep in mind that red is made primarily from magenta but is also a mixture of the other colors included.  So not only check the magenta toner, but make sure the yellow, cyan and black also look like true colors.  You can also check under the print quality menu on the printer to see if possible to adjust the print density of each color and then play around with those settings to see if they make a difference.
