The equivalent HP-GL/2 coordinate values will depend on a number of factors; for example:
- If you are using the default HP-GL/2 coordinate system, increasing values of the y-coordinate are in the opposite direction to the PCL coordinate, with the origin at the base of the specified PCL Picture Frame (whereas PCL y-coordinates start at the top of the page).
- But the HP-GL/2 coordinate system can also be set to match the PCL coordinate system, using the HP-GL/2 ROtate command.
- The HP-GL/2 units also need to be considered; absolute plotter units, or relative user units (as set via the HP-GL/2 SCale command).
