This printer is known for formatter issue. To test when you send the job and it does not print, instead of turning off the printer, press and hold the green button on the printer for about 10 seconds to see if the lights start to flash. If they do not then the formatter has an issue and you can fix it yourself. You have to "bake" the board. You remove the left side cover and the board in the middle is the formatter. Remove all the connections to the board and remove the board from the printer. Now if there is black tape by the memory slot, remove it also. Now place the board in a baking pan with the chips facing up and the board propped up so the bottom does not touch the pan. Now heat a good oven to 350F (177C) and when the oven is ready, place the pan with the board in the oven for exactly 8 minutes. Remove and let cool for 15 minutes. Place back in the printer, connect all the connectors and fire it up and all should be good. The problem is that these board developed cold solder joints on the main processor causing the formatter to freeze and turning it off and on would reset it but it would happen again. Baking the board re-flows some of the solder to correct the issue. This is not a joke, it works.
