With the power off remove the formatter on the right side. It is held in place with two screws in the back. Now turn the power on the printer and make sure you have paper in tray 2. Wait about 1 minutes and then stick a non metal stick in the small hole on the right side. I use a qtip stick. This is the engine test button, Do the motors turn and does it pick up a sheet of paper and shoot out a page with lines on it. If it does, then the formatter has an issue. If it does not or the motors do not turn, odds are the low voltage power supply is bad. You can also remove the fuser from the rear and power on just to see if you get further and come to a 50 error to make sure a bad fuser is not causing issue.
