I have noticed that you are using the term display rather than print when describing
your success or lack thereof, in printing the bbox.
Are you actually printing this code on a real LaserJet, or are you using a PCL viewer
or pcl2pdf converter to see the result?
In my experience, all of these things are flawed in one way or another. Depending on
the problem, you can may be able work around it. But if the 579L symbol set is NOT supported
by the viewer, then you may be dead in the water.
On my system using the output of the C code I posted earlier, the bbox displayed correctly
using the Swiftview PCL viewer.
It did NOT display correctly using PCL Works, pcl2pdf (Visual Software in UK older version),
or in the Artifex pcl2pdf program.
You have to be careful when relying upon PCL display devices. Always test on the LaserJet
and then see about your viewer/converter.
