The M602 has what is called "Quiet Mode" It is under the adminsitration menu under general settings. What is does is slow the machine to the same speed as the manual fold down tray 1 which is about 1/3 to 1/2 the regular speed. The M602 has been a much quieter printer that the P401X series that it replaced.
