I am not a windows 8 expert so not sure if you are having software or hardware issues. The printer is a N model so it should have a rj45 network connection. If you have router you should be able to connect the printer to the router, perform a cold reset of the printer and it should find an ip address. Use that ip address to load the printer on the windows 8 computer as a local tcp/ip printer and maybe it will now work.
