When you print a half test and stop the paper before it goes thru the fuser, the "image" is whatever you have printed on the page without it being binded to the paper by the heat of the fuser. If for example you print the demo page the image will be on the paper when you remove the toner cartridge and look down. If you see the defect then the issue is the toner cartridge. If you do not see the defect on the page, then the issue is the fuser. In other words if you see the black bars on the page when you remove the toner cartridge and look down, the toner cartridge has an issue. If no black bars, the fuser has an issue.
