I'm having the exact same issue, Firstly the problem started to occur of a 32-bit win pro machine then a couple of days after i started experiencing the same issue on a 64-bit win pro machine. I have tried the steps listed myself, and still no joy, I'm aware that people have no problems printing PDF's over USB, but I want it to work as a standalone network printer, I even pondered if it could be a problem caused by an Adobe update, but I think it's more likely to be printer firmware, the reason i think this is because when you look at the firmware release notes it says something about fixing a problem with the printer freezing upon file delivery over the network, to me this points towards some modification made on HP's part, and i'm having difficulty finding any previous firmware on the HP website to rule this out, looks like they only want us to use current firmware? I'd really appreshiate if someone HP would provide a fix! please?
