HP LaserJet 1320 / Windows XP
Up until now no problems, years of no hassle printing, but suddenly the printer started being recognized as 'new' hardware, after having been idle for a short spell. In trying to follow through with getting it recognized again we were first asked for a dll file, and this I managed to find. Next up pops another teling us "The file 'hpoipr07.sys' on HP Series CD-ROM is needed"!? I have searched the HP CD, I've searched the computer thuroughly, and this file is nowhere to be found. IWe next tried HP's 'Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL5', but the whole process starts all over again, requesting this same mystery file. I have searched online and the only information that pops up there iare the usual myrical cures, scams offering a 'repair tool', usually a registry cleaner.
Any help would be appreciated. It would be nice to get this working again from this computer, running Windows XP Pro.
