I do not know why people always think there is something wrong with the drivers when the printer does not come to ready. It can not be the drivers. Just disconnect the cable from the computer to the printer and turn the printer on as it should work with only power connected. If it does not work and you get the same blinking lights then turn the printer off and attempt to remove the drum and all 4 toners and turn the printer on again. If you get the same problem, then you have an issue with the formatter or the dc controller and I would think it is time to retire this old machine. If it comes to where it is asking for the toners and drum, then install one at a time to see if you can get it to ready or at least tell which of the consumables is causing the problem. Most times when I have seen this issue it is the formatter which has gone bad. Now one thing is if you have a network card installed in the printer even if not connected with it. You need to remove that card as a bad network card will cause the issue you are having. With the power off just loosen the two thumb screws are the card and then slide the card out. Turn the printer on and see if it comes to ready. If it does the card is bad.
