I don't think that conversion is a realistic possibility....
Being brand new..I'd go back to point of purchase and try to trade it for the 110 version...

We have a model CB495AR laser jer printer, using 305A cartridges , and have found that every so often we get one that doesn't fit. On the left hand side, there is a small plastic tab that guides the cartridge into place, but on some, the corresponding cutout on the cartridge is too small / short, preventing the cartridge from sliding in. Please see attached pictures as an example of a cartridge that fits. In a cartidge that doesn't fit, the cartridge cutout is not the same, see attached pictures.
Has anybody else had this problem, and is there anything that can be done? We've just been returning bad cartridges, but that doesn't make sense to me. We have another unit that doesn't have this problem. Is the one that doesn't work is an older model that may have been updated?
Thanks
Hi
This is what I did to upgrade the 4700 on out net.
1. I found an old rfu version 46_034_1 on this webpage:
search clj4700fw_win_46_034_1.exe, download and extract it.
Then I updated it. I used the ftp://<hostname or ip> and copied into the port1 folder
2. I found a newer verion 46_200_1 in HP archieve:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/networking/software/pfirmware/
and updated the printer
3. The newest the same site or hp's support page.
and updated the printer
And your printers are up to date.
The hard part was to find the first firmware.
Happy updating :-)

I have a user who is printing labels from a Laserjet 3600n. He wants to print in landscape. When he tries to do so, it prints the first page in landscape, then the subsequent pages in portrait. I have set the print settings to print landscape from devices and printers in preferences and properties. He is using windows xp. There are no settings in the software for portrait or landscape that he is printing from.
I tried to contact HP but the product is out of warranty. I updated the drivers as well.
Ideas anyone?
There's a MFG DATE on the back...that you could compare....
I'd rather think that you just need to try another toner supplier, though....There's not any MFG changes that I know of on this model...
I agree that conversion of the printer would be too complicated. It's a 220V appliance and needs that power, especially the 3015 that runs hot & fast.
Well, it turns out that ANY 110V outlet can be converted to 220V, with manipulation of the two lead wires and the neutral. Therefore, a house outlet can become a dedicated printer power source.
It wasn't a computer/tech geek who solved this one. It was an electrician.
Got this to work with an HP Laserjet 4650n, but it took a few tries...
- Power on the printer
- Wait for the memory test to start
- Press and hold the MENU button until you see 3 solid lights
- Release the MENU button
- Wait for the printer initialization to complete
- Press the LEFT ARROW button until you see INITIALIZE DISK
- Press the GREEN CHECK button
I had this same issue just now. I was able to get my printer to work. Here is what I did:
I turn the printer off.
Unplugged the power cable from the printer.
Unplugged the USB from the printer.
I removed a little metal door on the back with a phillips head screw driver.
I pulled out the white strip from inside the door and then put it back in.
I plugged the power cable back into the printer.
Turned it on and let it reboot.
Then plugged in the USB into the printer.
I printed a test page.
No error.
Replaced the little metal door.
This seems to have worked. Hope this helps. I have been able to print for at least the last 15 minutes. Fingers crossed.
HI,
Ensure the Gray scale option in driver is not selected.
Please click on Start>>printers and faxes>>right click on the printer driver icon>> click driver properties>>Printing preferences>> Printing shortcut >> Unselect option "Print in grayscale"
I have a p1102w printer, I'd want to know if I can use on wifi and usb at same time, because I need it online on 2 networks
Hi David, I'm using a Belkin F5U002 adapter cable. I visited Belkin and downloaded drivers just to be sure, still not printing. Sigh. Worked well on my previous Dell desktop and the Laserjet 1200 is just so reliable that I'd like to keep it going if I can. Double sigh. Andrew PS thanks for your help. much appreciated
I have a 2008 HP Color Laserjet 2600n. When I send a job to print, the printer sounds like it has a pile of leaves in it. I opend the front and the black film roller on the door has somehow folded over onto it self and nothing will print.
Can i remove this and replace it?
I do the same thing with printers. I hope that someone will help in our problem.
