A high-pitch steady sound suddenly began on my Laserjet 1000 when attempting to print a mailing label from Stamps.com, and printer will not accept a new print job. The lower ready light just blinks and I get the on-screen message that there is a paper jam; however, there is no jam. I've checked beneath the laser cartridge and at rear of printer. All I get is the strange sound when turning on the printer or trying to send a print job. I've reinstalled the driver with no effect. Does anyone know a fix for this? Any suggestion would be welcomed.
