Hi All,
A few days ago I went to print something to my office printer and noticed the printer made no noise etc, took a quick look to see why and saw this on the control panel screen.
"59.06.50

Turn the printer off and turn the printer back on. If problem still occurs blah blah blah"
Turned the printer off, and back on, same issue, did a bit of researching and found nothing for that error code. Then I came across a website that tells you what each codes means but still didn't include mine. I did however find this.
59.X PRINTER ERROR:

A main motor error occurred. X description: 0 = Motor error 1 = Motor startup error 2 = Motor rotation error

1. Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer on. 2. Check and reseat the fuser and toner cartridge to make sure they are not hindering gear movement in the drive train. 3. Check the main motor’s cable to ensure that it is seated properly. 4. If the error persists, replace the main motor.

As above, I tested the fusers and the toner cartidges, even installed a new fuser and new cartridges, same issue.
I then took the printer apart and checked all the wired and cabled connections, still the same issue.
Now, for now I am putting this down to a motor issue, I have used the troubleshooting capabilites on the printer itself to do component tests of the motors, etc. And the only two options that did nothing when tested (made no noise inside, couldnt see any movement) where the "Transfer Motors" and the Cartridge Motors", which consists of 4 parts:
Transfer Motors - M5 - All motors related to cartridges and belts
Cartidge Motors - M3: Yellow M4: Magenta & Cyan M5: Black - Activates three drum motors at a specified speed for 10 seconds.
This seems to have put it down the the M5 motor, the drum motor for the black cartridge.
I would just like to ask has anybody else had this issue? Taking this printer apart is a long job, and i'm always occupied with other maintainence/tickets/support.
Regards, Max.
