We have an old CLJ 5550 that every year develops a problem and it lands on myself to get it working again. This years problem is great as I don't really have a starting point! When trying to print (both from a computer and an internal page) it comes up on the display that it's processing the job but thats all it does. The printer doesn't even spin up or make any noise. Once or twice I've seen it add 'Waiting for Tray 2 to pick up" or something similar, but still no noise, no movement, just "Processing Job...". As far as I'm aware it was working perfectly last week, to the best of my knowledge nothing has changed on the print server, so I'm not sure whats the matter with it! In the logs I'm seeing a lot of Density sensor out of range and a few PAPER FEED 1, PAPER LATE JAM errors. Otherwise I have nothing to go on! I've cleaned the density and colour sensors at the top of the ETB. I've manually calibrated. I've visually inspected the inside and the ETB looks good (its new) and there doesn't appear to be any scraps of paper or anything. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know! Many thanks.
I have posted this on the 'home' HP support forum as well and found a link to here while having a trawl through, hence the posting in case anyone spots it!
