The bar code is an invoice number, EX *01AB1234001*...it is supposed to print this as a bar code so it can be scanned later for verification and, the bar code is also used for scanning the signed copy of the invoice into another proprietary "document imaging" web service.
The command line I mentioned was referencing a .pjl file(something like print/printername file)...there were 2 lines/files...1 that appeared to set the Symbol Set to Romsan8, the 2nd frankly looks like jibberish, I dont know what it does.
I guess I'll have to contact support and see what they say about it because like you, I am confused that I can change the Symbol Set in the web interface but it will only print 1 bar code correctly after a reboot.
