You do not bother to tell us the model number or post a sample. 90% of the time with laser printers, poor quality is due to a defective toner cartridge. If you can perform what is known as a half test do so. On most printers to perform a half test you put a sheet of paper on the manual feeder and perform a self test. When the back edge of the paper enters the printer, quickly open the toner door to stop the printing. Remove the toner and look at the image below. If the defective is present odds are the toner cartridge is bad. If defect is not present then the fuser probably has an issue. Best I can do with what was provided.
