Dear forum members,
I work in a small research lab and we face problems with our printer. It first started with a broken cartridge lock lever. I read only some HP service manual for that printer but the procedure on how to exchange the lever was not described there. So I just removed some screws and, unfortunately, opened the MDA.
We repaired the broken lever, searched for more manuals (http://www.lbrty.com/tech/sedge/se10_4.pdf) and found out how the MDA should look like and how the gears next to the MDA should be aligned. We reassembled the MDA, aligned everything and reassembled the printer.
However, after a complete calibration, the error 54.17 occurs (issue with cyan toner level sensor). If you skip the calibration, the printer comes to the ready state and correctly displays the toner filling levels.
It prints the colors black and yellow correctly, magenta is misaligned and it prints cyan only a little.
I checked the DC controller PCA and cleaned even the laser/scanner assembly with compressed air. Still the error 54.17 occurs.
Do you have any idea for me? That would be great.
