Since the tray 1 assembly and the solenoid which controls the movement can not be replaced I am afraid you may have to junk the printer. Only other option would be to contact hp to see if they can offer a refurb unit on exchange for a set fee. This is what they did when customers brought in units we could not fix and they were out of warranty.
