I am trying to connect a Laserjet 5000dn to current iMac using Mac OS 10.8.4. It was previously working on a similar iMac in another location. Using a network connection I can get it to show up on the iMac as a network address, but it is not recognized as a printer. It does not show up at all using a serial-to-usb cable.
Another issue is that the display reads "Install Duplexer." This was not so when first set up at the new location. I have disassembled, checked all the contacts, and reassembled numerous times. I have reset everything possible in the Resets Menu.
