We have a 4700dn that recently failed after having the fuser replaced. When it was plugged back in and powered on, the fans turned on and it sounded as if it were warming up, but the display remained blank and the front LEDs were stuck on. Power cycling didn't help, nor did pulling the new fuser and putting the old one back in. I checked for loose connections inside and outside to no avail.
My research tells me that the formatter board probably failed. Does anybody have any other ideas? Also, I *think* that I found the correct part number for the formatter (assuming it is at fault), but can anybody confirm what it is?
