ApolloXII,

Thank you for the suggestions.

Regarding the PCL 6 drivers, in the past when I've tried using PCL 6 drivers (usually device specific) with our printers my users have reported margins that change and other issues with output from documents.  We are a law firm and we rely on a store of thousands of documents, some of them created years ago in earlier versions of Word and Excel, to produce our documents daily.  Nearly all of our past documents were created with PCL 5 drivers.  Do you think that moving to the UPD PCL 6 will impact our documents in terms of margins and other output display issues?

We only have a handful of network printer queues.  The vast majority of our printers are directly connected to the workstations of secretaries and other support staff.  I think that I will test the UPD PCL 6 by installing it on a PC with a directly connected USB printer and see if it solves our squashed character output issues and if we develop any additional issues with margins/etc..
