I've recently made a routine update in Windows 8.1 and afterwords Windows will not recognize my laserjet 1100.
The printer is connected via an USB to Serial Parallel Port Adapter Cable, which has worked flawlessly until recent Windows update. The printer is no longer recognized by Windows, in control panel it's labeled 'unspecified' and unit status in properties declares error code 43.
When I try to add printer once more it's identified during screening for printers but I get error code #123.
I've tried HP software 'HP Print and Scan Doctor' and 'HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows' without any success.
Anyone knows how to solve this problem?
