Re: P2015dn dead baking formater board and other boards??

HP does not recomend baking the board. Also does the printer come to ready and can you print a config page by pressing and holding the green button down until both lights start to blink and the release. The baking basically repairs cold solder joints on the main processor . It will not fix a bad usb or network port. The correct baking procedure is to place the board face up in a baking pan, remove any tape by the memory slot, prop the board up so the bottom does not touch the pan. Preheat a good oven to 350F (177C) and when the oven is ready, place the pan with the board in the oven for 8 minutes. Remove and let cool for 10 minutes and then put back in the printer. I have repaired over 50 of this model over the years, but it is only for ones that do not initialize or when left on freeze and have to turned offf and then back on.
