Need a real answer about current LJ model which actually works

Hi everyone

I truly need a real answer about current LJ model which actually works - experience proven feedback only please.

I am fedup with the Pxxx printers; they are absolute junk.

I am looking for a recommendation for a modern day LaserJet model which does NOT use the low-end cheap driver design where most of the image pre-processing is done at the client computer so the printer's formatter doesn't do any heavy lifting (that's the Pxxxx world).

I would like an HP4000-level of quality printer and driver design.

Does such thing exist? Buying HP4000 from eBay is risky for a business.
