You bake the network card. No joke. Remove the plastic back piece of the network card (torx10) and place the card in a baking pan with the chips up and the card propped up so the bottom does not touch the pan. Preheat a good oven to 350F (177C) and when the oven is ready, place the pan with the card in the oven for 8 minutes. Remove and let cool for 15 minutes. Put the back piece back on, put in the printer and see if the problem is gone. This works 95% of the time as the card develops cold solder joints and the baking reflows the solder. If it does not work, then replacing the card will be necessary if using ethernet. If using parallel just keep the card out of the printer.
