I have to chime in with some of our very thorough troubleshooting on this issue. I'll summarize below:
1. Affecting several HP LaserJet P3015DN and HP Color LaserJet CP4025DN printers
2. While printing certain websites using IE10 and IE11 with HP UPD PCL6 version 5.3, error 49.4C02 on printer, and job gets stuck in print queue (in several cases, both on the local workstation and print server)
3. Using Windows 7 64-bit
4. Sample website we're able to reproduce the problem with:
5. Reports began in early June of several printers failing with the error code above
Here's the troubleshooting we've done
1. Updated HP UPD PCL6 to the latest 5.8
2. Installed discreet drivers (P3015DN PCL6)
3. Updated printer firmware to latest available as of July 7th 2014
4. Created a virtual machine with a fresh install of Windows 7 64-bit, no other software, all update IE11 and no security software
5. When printing from Firefox, prints fine
6. When printing from IE11 to a Samsung printer, using a Samsung UPD PCL6 driver, works fine
I'm beginning to suspect a security update to the operating system that's causing the issue. The problem is that the sheer number of security updates that have installed makes the task very tedious.
Since this thread began in March, has anyone successfully resolved the issue?
