Re: CP2025DN Manual Paper Tray (Tray 1) does not work

I have had my HP 2025dn for several years now and my flip tray was always working under the XP

and the Vista operating Systems.  When I switched up to windows 7, I noticed that my flip tray where you

print envelopes started failing me at times.  If I put paper in that tray it worked but when I  put envelopes in it

it either ignored them or said there was a jam when I knew there was not.  I've been in th Administrative world

for many decades, too many to say, and have always owned HP printers, long enough to know when there is

or is not a jam. I let it go because it was an occasional thing.  Now I have bought a new HP computer with 8.1

operating system and at first I could not load up the correct driver.  I did manage to get it to print and again. like

with windows 7, it was an on again off again problem.  It seemed to be more prevelent with windows 8.1;

however, and it wasn't long before it didn't recognize that tray at all.  That's where I am today with a tray that

this HP printer doesn't even recognize at all.  I callefd HP tech support, because my computer is still under

warranty and  I was hoping they could figure out what was wrong.  Unbeknownst to be, I didn't realize so

many other customers were having similar problems, which tells me the outcome may not be good.  After

waiting on the phone for over 15 minutes, I gave up.  I decided to try to figure it out myself, which seems

a little rediculous, but no more rediculous than trying to get help from HP, because my printer is out of

warranty for one thing, and too many people are having the same problem, which tells me this printer

SUCKS@@@@ .  I will let you know if this regains it's memory or continues to forget what it used to be able

to do, and who knows, it may completely lose it.  The printer is a really nice printer when it has all its

faculties, but that is a distant memory to me.  It's too expensive to keep up with the toners and it's too

frustrating trying to get a hold of a tech at customer support.  When you put everything together,

well, if one more thing goes wrong with this printer, it's goodbye to HP printers forever for me.........I'll

let you know if it either regains it's memory or if I had to throw it out.  I would try customer service

again, but apparently with all the problems out there like mine, that's a losing battle.
