More than likely little-to-no real downside, other than not being notified about low toner or some-such.
The real question is, after all this time and all of the people having the same problem as regards one of the new Office 2013 products (it affects all of them; take your pick) and HP Laser printers, why the Devil has not HP first of all acknowledged the problem and second (and most important) of all, fixed it? This has been around since Office 2013 was first released, for God's sake!
There is simply no excuse for such inactivity, as long as this glitch has been known now. There was even some HP Product Engineer type who was posting around the Forums encouraging members to tell him more about this truly pain-in-the-neck bug so he could fix the problem. Well, judging from the silence here, that apparently has not happened yet and the reports and / or complaints have fallen on deaf ears once again. It's merely a simple problem with the code, so what's the big deal? Just fix it so we can get back to work without having to manually modify the printer driver every time Office 2013 is installed, please...
