Reporting on 'progress' [NOT]..
My diskette drives [in both Dell Optiplex] are not functioning and therefore unable to transfer the .prn files to the Dos partition to 'post' them to the printer. So attempting to go down the re-installation of the LaserJet 1200 printer and hopefully to correctly install and access the Device Configuration utility on the CD1.
However the CD1 'freezes' and when I attempt to install it via the Wizard in WinXP again comes back with a message 'This driver is not digitally signed' .
So how do I get an Authenticated CD1?
Attempting to contact HP Support is a nightmare.. Spent 45 minutes and they kept on asking for my printer Name and Model.. and I kept on giving them HP LaserJet 1200 series [as printed on the front panel of the printer]. and even included the Serial number ... No joy.
Any suggestions?
