Re: strange bug in tray number on HP4015 with HP Universal PCL5 drivers

That looks to me like you've got a corrupted or incompete installation of the print queue.    I recommend you do the following:

 

  1. If you haven't already done so, download the latest UPD (version 5.8) from www.hp.com/go/upd
  2. Delete the existing print queue.  
  3. Run install.exe to install UPD 5.8, you can re-use the print queue name if desired.

After re-installing the driver, you should see the tray names like this:

If you have multiple print queues using UPD 5.8, you may want to use the AutoUpgradeUPD.exe tool in the PARK to automate the process of deleting and recreating print queues.
