Hi, I have a HP CP5525 which is only printing black, cyan, yellow and magenta do not print at all, either on internal self tests or external copies. Client is using original toners and has replaced them to no effect. They did mention the printer came up with a 59.00.C0 error before the fault but that the error disappeared after they took out the toners, transfer belt etc. There is no record of the 59 error in the event log. looking the error code up in the manual it mentions the following,
Developer alienation motor (M6) error
1. Use the developer engagement and disengagement drive test in the component test to verify that
the disengagement mechanism is properly functioning. If it is not, replace the ITB motor assembly.
2. Use the sensor test in the Manual sensor test to verify that the developer disengagement sensor
(PS11) is properly functioning. If it is not, replace the main drive assembly.
3. If the product has been serviced, check the connector (J518) on the developer disengagement
motor, the connector (J1005) on the driver PCA and the connector (J91) on the DC controller PCA.
I have run the drive test and it seemed to function correctly, the sensor is working and on a visual inspection the main drive looks ok. the only thing I couldn't locate was the ITB motor, I'm assuming this is part of the main drive?? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
