I recently made the mistake of using a software package to perform a system-wide driver update. My LaserJet P3015dn, which had been working perfectly, is now inoperable.
I went to the HP support website, and downloaded the drivers for a Windows 7, 64-bit machine. I also updated the firmware. The driver, for reference, was the universal print driver PCL 6.
That didn't work; an icon appears in the printer section (so far, so good); but after i select the 3015dn as default printer and attempt a test page, the yellow "troubleshooting" sign appears. Test page will not print. I tried this over again (delete device; download again, etc.) , same result.
Subsequently I went back and rather than intiating through the HP driver download, I initiated through "add a printer" in Windows. Asked for updated drivers from Windows. Tried both the LaserJet P3010 and 3011/3015 drivers. Nothing worked.
Also tried HP's printer diagnostic tool. No luck.
I'm convinced it's not a cable issue (firmware updated with no issue)... any help would be greatly appreciated! thank you!
