I have recently upgraded a user's computer to a new Windows 7 machine and his pro 400 printer will either fail the HP smart install (after about 15 minutes--A ridiculous amount of time for a printer install on an SSD), or will succeed a basic installation and won't ever print. All jobs sent to the printer (USB connection) hit the queue for about half a second before vanishing. No indication on the printer that any jobs are received.
I've tried swapping USB ports and cables to no avail. I did get this same printer to install and print on another similar computer (no SSD is the only difference, all the same software), but the new one is still showing no sign of printing. The new computer is set up on the network printers at the office and printing fine from those.
Thanks for any help.
