I doubt the printer turned itself back on. Sounds more like someone turned it back on. As to the printing issue this is more a computer issue then a printer issue. The job is not clearing out of the print q of the computer that is sending the job. If you know who is sent the job turn off their computer and see if the problem still continues. If the printer is connected to a print server, then the print server probably has issues. If this is the case remove the printer from the print server and attach the printer to a couple of computers using local tcp/ip and see if you have the same issue. I would assume the problem is gone. You do not say what type of document is being printed. Check the number of copies setting on the printer since if a old type document like dos it may not have number of pages imbedded and uses the copies number on the printer.
