HELP!!!
I have a registered color lazerjet CM1312nfi MRP SN CNC88BG53T that has worked beautifully for me for years - previously on Windows Vista - and now on Windows 7. I was able to scan from documents to OCR rich text files with no problem. There was a shortcut on my desktop to something called HP Solutions Centre which would bring up a control centre when I pressed the scan button on the CM1312 MFP.
Recently I started getting messages that the HP Toolbox was not working and as a result I could not check the status of the 4 print cartridges.
So I [foolishly] unininstalled the software and reinstalled the proper download from HP for Windows 7 which was called 'full solution'. This upgraded the firmware on the printer which works fine as a copier/printer.
BUT I cannot use the scan functions as nothing happens when I press the scan button on the device and I just get a message on the tiny device screen saying it is waiting for the PC. [The scan function does work in a crude way through the newly re-downloaded HP Toolbox though it only seems to produce a graphic and not a test editable document.]
I cannot see a download for a new HP Solution centre or equivalent on the HP site. I have spent the best part of a day trying to fix this problem and hope that somebody can suggest a solution!
