Am ripping my hair out after spending most of yesterday trying to get the CM 1312nfi to scan a document. It prints; just won't scan.
Here's what I've done:
downloaded HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP Series Full Solution and installed.
Run HP Print & Scan Doctor - it says scanning software can't be found.
downloaded HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 and installed
Run HP Print & Scan Doctor - it says scanning software can't be found.
Downloaded & installed HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PostScript
Run HP Print & Scan Doctor - it says scanning software can't be found.
Downloaded HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL5
Run HP Print & Scan Doctor - it says scanning software can't be found.
Unplugged printer and rebooted computer multiple times as instructed by the P&SD; also unplugged router
(these are the only drivers for the CM 1312nfi I can find on the HP website.
I am running a Lenovo touchscreen all-in-one desktop on Windows 8.1. I believe it stopped scanning when I upgraded to Windows 8.1 but it's hard to tell as I don't scan that frequently.
I appreciate any help - need the scanner operational!
