I was recently contracted to install an 880z printer w/ stapler/stacker accessory. When I got to the site the delivery guys destroyed the manuals and install instructions (I downloaded them from HP.com). I finally get the stacker/stapler unit added on to the main 880z unit. The stapler works from the control pad on the 880z unit however the employees cannot seem to access the stapler/stacker from their desktops. This company has an offsite IT department that I had to get ahold of the tech and have him upload the drivers for the unit offsite. When the a2w82a unit was attached the firmware went through an auto-update cycle and I tested the unit out on the unit and worked fine. However it cannot seem to be accessed remotely for users.
I instructed the IT tech to remove the current drivers and completely re-install them and to make sure they are the latest drivers.
My question is: Is there a function i forgot to turn-on on the unit or would this be a driver issue to get the stacker stapler to grant remote access for end-users? Any ideas and/or feedback would be most helpful.
