Hello,
I think I found the nature of my problem (thanks to the previous posts). From the error msg. 10.92.00, the .00 indicates that their is an issue with the Black Cartridge or its related slot in the LJ3600. The last two (2) numbers in the error code indicate which of the primary colors has the issue. What I noticed is that on the left side of the slot that holds the Black Cartridge, there is a white lever that suppose to stay in the UP position. From other posts, I understand that you can purchase and replace the part yourself.
My questions is, presently to correct the issue I placed a small piece of tape to hold the white lever in the UP position. The printer is able to past the self test and the calibration tests w/o any issues. I also can print w/o any issues. Instead of taking the whole printer apart to replace one dumb piece of plastic, what is the chances that my idea of the tape will damage the printer in the future ?
Un-related issue:
It seems when I print alot of pages, some of the pages come out with streaks from left to right (only from the Black Cartridge). All catridgles have more than enough toner supply. All of the cartridge are generic - not HP Branded.
Any ideas ?
