I have an HP 1100 laserJet printer that has been outstanding in the past. It's been hooked up to my old desktop pc running win2000...I know, I'm archaic. But I've purchased a new HP laptop last year that is running win7. The problem I have is that my printer has the old-style parallel, 25-pin d-type connector, and my laptop only has usb interfaces. Is there any way I can 'convert' my printer to accept a usb interface? I've found USB to Parallel IEEE 1284 Printer Adapter Cable on the internet - would this allow me to connect my HP 1100 laserjet printer to my laptop?
Any advice would be appreciated,
Mitch
