Thanks man! This totally worked for us. Mac OS X 10.6.8, HP 1606dn. Deleted printer in Sys Prefs, then added again, being sure to choose the Bonjour version of it not the HP IP in the list of network printers (default icon in the Add Printers dialog).
At first we didn't even see any Bonjour version of the printer in the "Add Printers" list, but that was because I had recently renamed the printer (using web browser), but only renamed it for TCP, not for Bonjour. So it was not showing up when the list of network printers was filtered by the new printer name. Anyway, when you change the printer name, don't forget to change it in both places. Now that it is working again, this is a smoking fast printer.
