Printing issues with HP LJ 500 and 4700 network printers. Three printers on our network have lost the ability to have print jobs sent to them. The printers are accessable to map to you machine. When you try to print, the job just times out every time.
We can get to the web page for the printer and even print a text file from the print option on the web page. Just not from a mapped machine on the network.
I had a technician come and take a look and he does not think it is hardware based. In fact, he had never seen one do what these printers are doing currently. Both printer have been removed from the print server and re-added. No help. reset the hardware to factory standards. No help. What would stop a printer from processing print jobs?
